The Curriculum - click for larger image

The faculty, administration and Education Committee of the Board select materials and textbooks. After careful research and study, the teaching staff recommends curriculum changes to the Education Committee, which consists of Board members, faculty, administrators, and parents. The Committee studies the materials and suggestions and, once agreement is achieved, presents the recommendations to the Board for approval. Sources for instructional materials include both Christian and secular publishing companies. The worldview portrayed is considered carefully in the selection of materials recognizing that not all materials will contain a Biblical worldview, but teachers are able to assist students with evaluation of differing or contradictory content in the light of the Scriptures. Such exposure and guidance fulfills the TOCS intent that one of the goals of Christian education is to prepare students to be discerning observers and participants in their culture.
