Job Description
Position: Part-time Before Care Employee (Approx. 5 hours per week)
Responsible to: Head of School

Essential Job Functions:
● Supervise children who arrive before school.
● Provide a safe, organized and enjoyable environment for the students in his/her care.
● Check students in and out via the iPad.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Before Care Employee will:
1. Be in the gym by 6:55 a.m. each morning, Monday through Friday except days when school is not in session.
2. Supervise children who arrive in the gym between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., enforcing policies for student recess that are in place during the school day.
3. Dismiss middle school students/walk PreK and elementary students to recess when the 8:00 a.m. bell rings. Walk preschool students upstairs to the preschool room.
4. Leave the area used for before school care in the same condition in which it was found.
5. Be trained in the use of an epi-pen.
6. Clock in and out using a timeclock.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Prior work experience in childcare
2. Enjoys working with children
