The first Friday Five features the new TOCS Middle School Language Arts Teacher Mrs. Janna Hickel, who comes to TOCS with more than 20 years of experience across all grade levels writing and implementing curriculum, teaching, and mentoring other staff members. Most recently, Janna served as a Virtual School Pod Tutor in Chesterfield, Mo., where she oversaw the district’s virtual program and tutored sixth grade students in math, history and Language Arts.работни обувки fw34 steelite lusum s1p 38

Hickel has three children: Hannah, 21, who is a senior at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kent.; Carter is 18 and a freshman at Saint Louis University; and Elizabeth, 15, is in her sophomore year at Westminster Christian Academy.

Five Fun Things about Mrs. Hickel:
1. I would love to visit all 50 states, and this summer I made it to my 47th state, South Dakota!
2. I worked at a dude ranch when I was in college.
3. In my free time, I like to smock children’s clothing.
4. My family loves Disney!
5. All three of my kids have grown up swimming competitively, so my family is very interested in USA Swimming and our favorite athletes are swimmers. We’ve had the opportunity to meet a large number of them, including 7-time Olympic gold medalist Caeleb Dressel.

Join us as we welcome Mrs. Hickel to our school community!

Student Birthday Collection Provides for Local Food Pantry

Twin Oaks Christian School seventh grader Sofia Reinken abundantly blessed the Circle of Concern food pantry at critical time when shelves are empty and the need overwhelming.

. This year for her 13th birthday she wanted to do something special for the food pantry, so she challenged herself to collect 1,000 food items.cheap jordan 4 cadena seguridad para moto nike air max 1 ultra moire black white ราคา cadena seguridad para moto converse lugged beige sbloccare oblo lavatrice ariston nfl jersey sales cheap jerseys mallas para hombre nike kallax korkekiilto hylly blogspot corsair ddr3 1600 nfl jersey sales köröm díszítő szalagok sport jumpsuit nike zara long jumpsuit in green

In order to break that threshold, she asked via a hand-written letter if Twin Oaks Church and School would participate by putting out large bins where families could donate as they feel led. They obviously obliged and the outcome was tremendous.

“What Unites Us in Christ is Greater Than What Divides Us in the World.”

These words were spoken by Twin Oaks Christian School Chaplain and Middle School Coordinator Mr. Matthew Pannkuk on the first day of school, and they come at a time when deep ideological divides threaten to tear apart our country, communities and even our churches.

At Twin Oaks Christian School, coming back to school means coming up with a biblical theme to guide students, staff and faculty throughout the school year and counter whatever is going on in the world with the refreshing truth of God’s word, which this year focuses on unity in Christ Jesus.

This year’s theme verse is Romans 15:5-6:

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
