From the Eagle’s Nest – Q3 (2025)
As we recently closed out the third quarter of the school year, I want to provide an update on the life of our school and reflect on the ways we’ve seen God faithfully at work in our community. The last three months have been full of opportunities to press on to know God and His world more deeply and to nurture our students’ hearts and minds to become more rooted in Christ.
We started the quarter weathering too many snow days to count! But we soon settled into a rhythm that had us back on track. Our 100th day of school brought a crowd of cute “centenarians” to our hallways, while our Change for Haiti week saw students sacrificially giving to support families through the Hope Community Project. I’m thankful for the generosity of our community and the heart our families have to serve others far beyond our walls.
As always, Spirit Week was a huge hit! This year, students were recognized not just for school spirit but for embodying qualities of our learner profile. We ended that week with a high-energy community night at GoPlay, where students ran out some of their endless energy and parents connected in fellowship. And just a few days later, our Kindergarten Sneak Peek welcomed both current and prospective families into the warmth and creativity of our Kindergarten program—complete with a cowgirl, a barnyard boogie, and hands-on farm-themed fun!
Academically, students pressed on with diligence. Our 3rd–8th graders completed their winter ERB milestone testing, and our teachers spent time interpreting the results to better know, love, and serve each child. We’re committed to academic excellence—not as an end in itself—but as a means to equip students to be strong in mind, courageous in heart, and rooted in Christ.
One of the greatest joys of this quarter was seeing our students shine in so many different ways! A series of meaningful performances beautifully showcased their gifts and hard work. From our 1st–6th graders’ fantastic performance of the musical Happily Forever After to our Honors Choir’s moving performance at Westminster Christian Academy, our students pointed others to Christ through their music and drama in ways that touched hearts and glorified God.
Outside the classroom, our middle schoolers explored history and humanity through a variety of field trips. From the St. Louis Art Museum to the Holocaust Museum, and even the Gateway Arch, each experience helped expand their learning and shape their understanding of their place in God’s world and story. One museum guide even commented on how respectful and engaged our students were—something we celebrate as part of our learner profile, which calls our students to be teachable, relational, and servant-hearted leaders.
Parents and partners, thank you! Our school community and our students’ experiences would not be as rich or deep without your steady support and faithful prayers. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, let’s continue to walk forward together in faith, trusting God to guide our students as they grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with the Lord. He is so very faithful, and I am profoundly grateful for the privilege of serving the families, students, and staff of Twin Oaks Christian School.
