Student Birthday Collection Provides for Local Food Pantry

Twin Oaks Christian School seventh grader Sofia Reinken abundantly blessed the Circle of Concern food pantry at critical time when shelves are empty and the need overwhelming.

Every year since second grade, Reinken has asked for unperishable food items in lieu of receiving birthday giftsработни обувки fw34 steelite lusum s1p 38

. This year for her 13th birthday she wanted to do something special for the food pantry, so she challenged herself to collect 1,000 food items.cheap jordan 4 cadena seguridad para moto nike air max 1 ultra moire black white ราคา cadena seguridad para moto converse lugged beige sbloccare oblo lavatrice ariston nfl jersey sales cheap jerseys mallas para hombre nike kallax korkekiilto hylly blogspot corsair ddr3 1600 nfl jersey sales köröm díszítő szalagok sport jumpsuit nike zara long jumpsuit in green

In order to break that threshold, she asked via a hand-written letter if Twin Oaks Church and School would participate by putting out large bins where families could donate as they feel led. They obviously obliged and the outcome was tremendous.

“Not only did I reach my goal of 1,000 items, I got 738 more, which totaled 1,559 pounds!” said Reinken in a thank you note to the church and school community. “The food pantry was pretty empty so the donations really helped. I am so thankful!”

Reinken delivered the donated food items on her birthday, August 25, and, as you can see in the pictures, these donations really made an impact. Thank you to those who helped Sofia accomplish her goal and, in turn, served those in need at a difficult time.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
